Pure Design for MANN+HUMMEL

The new joint booth for the brands of the MANN+HUMMEL Group celebrated its debut at Automechanika 2018. A brand platform was created for the aftermarket MANN+HUMMEL brands which underlines the market leadership of the globally operating group.

MANN+HUMMEL develops, manufactures and sells filter systems for the automotive, mechanical engineering, ventilation, water treatment and air conditioning industries. At Automechanika, the product brands MANN-FILTER, WIX Filters und FILTRON appeared as a family of strong individual filtration brands – each with their own individual character. Just as the corporate MANN+HUMMEL brand and as members of this family of filtration experts, they all stand for the claim "leadership in filtration".

modular and scalable design concept

A compelling new corporate architecture was developed for the stand. The main objective of the design concept is to present the individual brands with maximum differentiation and at the same time join them in a coherent unity. Various brand worlds with an expressive design are created which are conclusively perceived by the visitor in terms of positioning and brand promise. The new joint stand gives visitors a clear orientation and a high-class communication experience. It brings together the brands as a recognizable family of MANN+HUMMEL - a powerful image is created, in which all brands benefit from each other in a sustainable manner. They all share the vision and focus on the needs of their customers. The scalable trade fair design can be individually adapted to different requirements: the exhibition stand sizes are variable and range from 20 to 500 square meters, and the specific appearances of the individual product brands can be varied in different forms.

The shared hospitality area in the centre of the exhibition stand is the connecting link. It is clearly presented in MANN+HUMMEL corporate design. This area is covered by a network-like roof construction that reflects the image of a magnified nano-structure of filters - the core competency of MANN+HUMMEL is transferred into the space in an abstract form. The OEM trade fair appearances are also created in line with the design of the hospitality area. The first booth will be shown at the IAA commercial vehicles 2018 at the end of September in Hanover. The modular trade fair concept has been developed for worldwide use and will be employed in the next few years at the various trade fair appearances of the product brands. Milla & Partner is responsible for the creative concept and the development of the corporate architecture. The implementation at Automechanika 2018 lay in the hands of Uniplan.
