Workshop DASA Szenografie-Kolloquium: Mixed Reality and Gamification beyond VR & AR

Museums of all kinds are constantly at odds between their educational mission and their competing role as attractive leisure activities. In this context, digital mediation plays an important role in making the museum experience more interactive, individual and immersive. But which technologies and solutions are suitable to meet both the demand for experience and the task of conveying knowledge? In this workshop, we will develop and discuss opportunities and risks of current digital trends such as gamification, serious games, virtual and augmented reality.
